Our gentlest introduction to coding — visual block-based programming using Scratch. Kids build games, tell stories and make art while learning logical thinking.

About SahajKalpa

Coding that grows with your child.

SahajKalpa was founded with one idea: coding should feel natural and joyful for every child, not intimidating. The name means "simple vision" — and that's exactly what we bring to every session.

Based at North West Circus Place in Edinburgh, we run small-group sessions designed to build genuine skills, not just surface confidence. Every child leaves each session having built something real.

Who we are

SahajKalpa operates sahajkalpa.shop from North West Circus Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6SX, United Kingdom. We process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data we collect

  • Parent/guardian name, email and phone number on enrolment
  • Child's first name and age group (no further child data stored)
  • Payment details processed securely — we do not store card data
  • Analytics cookies with your consent

How we use it

  • To process bookings and send session confirmations
  • To communicate session updates, cancellations or changes
  • To send optional term-end progress summaries

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data at any time. Contact us at workshop@sahajkalpa.shop. You may also lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.

Enrolment

A binding agreement is formed when we confirm your booking by email. All prices include VAT where applicable.

Monthly Subscription

Sessions are booked monthly (4 sessions). Payment is due at the start of each month. You may cancel with 2 weeks' notice before the next billing period begins.

Code of Conduct

We expect all children to treat tutors and other learners with respect. Persistent disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the session with no refund for that session.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Cancellations by You

  • Cancel with 14+ days' notice before next month: full refund of that month's fee
  • Cancel with 7–13 days' notice: 50% refund
  • Cancel with less than 7 days' notice: no refund for that month

Cancellations by Us

If we cancel a session due to tutor illness or technical issues, we will offer a make-up session or a pro-rata credit. You will be notified as soon as possible by email.

How to Cancel

Email workshop@sahajkalpa.shop with your child's name and the session to cancel. We confirm all cancellations in writing within 2 business days.

Our Commitment

The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. All SahajKalpa tutors hold a valid Enhanced DBS check before working with children.

Online Safety

  • Online sessions use child-safe, closed platforms only — no public chat rooms
  • Session recordings are never made without explicit parental consent
  • No child's image or full name is ever shared publicly

Reporting Concerns

If you have any safeguarding concern, contact us immediately at workshop@sahajkalpa.shop. Concerns can also be reported to Edinburgh Children's Social Care on 0131 200 2324.

Photo & Media Policy

We will only photograph or film children with written parental consent obtained at enrolment. Images are used only for internal educational records unless further consent is given.
